Linocut
Hand-carved linocut prints with bold, graphic lines and rich texture. Each piece is an original studio creation.
Linocut is one of the oldest ways to make a print. You carve the image into a block of linoleum, roll ink over it and press it onto paper. Whatever you cut away stays white, so every line has to be decided in advance. That is where the bold, slightly rough look comes from. The prints in this collection started as carved blocks in the studio: the koi, the turtles in the lake, Frida, the guitar player and the gramophone. They are reproduced on matte paper in four sizes, from A4 up to 70 x 100 cm, starting at €25. They look best in a simple black or oak frame with plenty of white around them.
